Celebrating Atlanta Teachers

C1Teachers are some of the hardest working individuals and never seem to get enough credit for what they do to teach and train our children often for a larger part of the day then we, as parents, get with them.

That time of the year to show them “official” appreciation for all they do is just around the corner on May 2nd to May 6th with Teacher Appreciation Day on Tuesday, May 3rd.

We’re here to help you plan the best floral gifts to get for your kids’ teachers.C2

Whether you come in and pick up a flower arrangement or bouquet or you have them sent directly to school, here are some ideas to consider for Teacher Appreciation Week and Teacher Appreciation Day:

  • The Thinking of You Bouquet is a cheerful floral mix of roses, orchids, and hydrangea in a keepsake vase.
  • The Wishes and Blessings Bouquet offers yellow and white hues of hydrangea and garden roses in a glass vase.
  • The Mystic Modern Cube Arrangement has a mix of flowers that include stock, miniature callas, lisianthus, roses and dahlias along with preserved oak leaves.C3
  • The Cottage Garden Bouquet offers a garden style floral design with a wide range of colors and floral varieties.
  • The Exotic Phalaenopsis Orchid with Tropical Bromeliad gives you a beautiful orchid and bromeliad plant in one gift. These two beautiful blooming plants are a long-lasting reminder of your appreciation.
  • Our presentation bouquets also make a nice teacher gift as they come wrapped up for a special presentation.

Other gift ideas for teachers include gourmet food baskets, seasonal, fresh fruit baskets, balloons, greeting cards, green plants and custom flower arrangements.C4

Whatever you decide to gift your children’s teachers with, make sure that you include a personal note that lets them know just how much their efforts mean to you. This personal connection often makes the best gift for teachers who work so tirelessly to help kids learn.

You can order your teacher gifts by phone, in our Atlanta flower shop, or online through our website.C5

Thank You to Teachers!

C1Teachers do an incredible job with our kids, helping them grow in knowledge and as people. They have our kids for at least six hours each day, helping them understand concepts and guiding them on how to develop skills and make wise choices in life. These unsung heroes that don’t get paid nearly enough for the priceless work they do, day in, day out, deserve our thanks.C2

National Teacher’s Day is May 7th!

teacherc1 It’s not only the time of year to show how much we love our moms, but it is also that time to show teachers just how much we appreciate what they do to help us learn and guide our children through each subject and even a few life lessons.

Each year, the first week of May is set aside as National Teacher’s Week or Teacher Appreciation Week. That means that this year that week is May 6-May 10 with National Teacher’s Day on Tuesday, May 7th.

Flowers and Gifts for National Teacher’s Day

There are many ways you can thank your children’s teachers or have your children also make or do something that shows how much they appreciate them as well. First, to help your kids learn how to start showing their thanks and appreciation, there are some things teacherc2they can do for their teachers:

  • Make a thank you note or letter that explains why they appreciate their teachers.
  • Do something in the classroom to help out. Be sure to have them ask the teacher what they can do first.
  • Bring their teacher a piece of artwork or some homemade treats.

Of course, you may also want to contribute to recognizing your children’s teachers. Here are some great flower arrangements or teacher gifts that you can get to show your appreciation:

  • Bring an arrangement with their favorite flowers like roses, tulips, or an orchid. Be sure to ask ahead to see if you can get an idea of what they like best. Also, casually ask them what colors they like as flowers like tulips and roses come in a rainbow variety of colors.
  • The Deluxe Orchard fruit basket is another great idea that plays on the theme of bringing your favorite teacher an apple but giving them so much more. This is also a great idea if you want to gift an entire department of teachers on this special day.teacherc3
  • If you know your teacher has a green thumb, a garden basket might be a good idea that she can enjoy throughout the year in her room or take home and replant in a garden. There are many different types of flowering garden baskets to fit every budget and taste.
  • Green plants are also a nice idea for National Teacher Day as they bring a bit of greenery into the classroom so that the class can also enjoy a bit of nature every day. They can even help water and take care of the plant with the teacher as part of a lesson plan.

teacherc4Whatever you plan on doing, make sure you also tell each teacher you know whether they teach your children or are a friend to you just how much you appreciate what they do in helping create the next generation of success stories.
