Carithers Flowers is a second generation family florist.  Founded in 1974 by Larry and Jane Carithers, the popular shop quickly gained fame as Atlanta’s home to unusual varieties of flowers and plants, trendy design styles, and fabulous wedding florals.   In 1984 Carithers was awarded the Cobb County Small Business of the Year Award, in 1987 was recognized as the fastest growing flower shop in the United States, won the Nations Top Family Florist Award in 1995, and is the only florist to earn the Consumer’s Choice Award every year since it’s inception.

Carithers is proud to be an active community contributor, donating over $100,000 per year to local charities, hospitals,  non-profit organizations throughout metro-Atlanta.  Charity partners in 2008 and 2009 include: The WellStar Foundation, The United Way, Susan G Komen’s Breast Cancer Foundation, Children’s Healthcare, and many local and county school systems.

Carithers Farms – Our ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability & responsible floriculture
Carithers offers the widest selection of unusual floral varieties from around the globe.  With over 200 varieties,  we work with finest family farms and greenhouses throughout the world, including imports from Columbia, Ecquador, Costa Rica, Mexico, Africa, Australia, Israel, Holland, Thailand, Canada, and the Hawaiian Islands.

Carithers supports sustainability programs, fair world wage and trade policies.  Carithers is a supporter of the Columbian Flower Industries Florverde program that supports farms in the improvement of social, economic and environmental sustainability.

Think Global Act Local…
Carithers most recent involvement is much more local, developing floral sources close to home.  Recently Carithers has been experimenting with local floral farms throughout the southeast.  These programs are providing locally grown, seasonal flowers from Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.
